Virt Remote Terms of Service

Last updated August 16, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Virt Remote, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials and devices, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. You may use only accounts and contacts you are authorized to access.

3. Service Scope

Virt provides private user connections, messaging, calls, remote camera control, photo and video capture, media transfer, and Library features. Feature availability can depend on your device, permissions, network, backend availability, and service configuration.

4. User Communications and Remote Capture

You are responsible for obtaining any permissions and consent required before recording, photographing, directing a remote camera, capturing audio or video, sharing media, or communicating with another person. You must respect participant instructions, device indicators, location-specific recording laws, and any limits agreed for a session.

5. Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create, send, or upload. You give Virt a limited authorization to process, transmit, store, display, and make content available only as needed to provide the features you request and protect the service.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use Virt to harass, exploit, impersonate, threaten, or abuse another person; capture or share content without required authorization; upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, or deceptive content; circumvent security controls; interfere with service operation; access data not intended for you; or violate applicable law or another person's rights.

7. Blocking and Reporting

Virt provides blocking and reporting tools. Blocking may limit contact and communication. Reports may be reviewed for safety, support, abuse prevention, and service protection.

8. Suspension, Termination, and Deletion

You may stop using Virt and request account deletion through in-app account controls or the external deletion pathway. Virt may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security risk, legal requirement, abuse report, or harm to users or the service.

9. Service Availability

Virt is provided on an operationally reasonable, as-available basis. Calls, transfers, notifications, uploads, downloads, and realtime features may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable because of networks, devices, third-party services, maintenance, or events outside Virt's control. Keep independent copies of important media.

10. Intellectual Property

Virt Software Ltd owns the Virt app, service, software, design, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Virt technology or your user content.

11. Liability and Consumer Rights

To the extent permitted by law, Virt does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or loss-free operation. Any exclusions or limits apply only where legally allowed and do not limit non-waivable consumer rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting mandatory rights that apply where you live.

13. Changes

Virt may update these Terms as the service changes. Material updates will be reflected in the app or on the Virt website as appropriate.
